Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a day of sightseeing:
of the site of Memphis which is the oldest political and religious capital of Egypt, founded in 3200 BC by the legendary king Menes, the unifier of Upper and Lower Egypt.
It is located on the eastern bank of the Nile, the capital of Egypt for more than a millennium and a leading religious center. It is also the seat of the cult of the god Ptah.

of the site of Saqqara, which is a vast funerary complex that contains the necropolis of the dignitaries and the so-called "stepped" pyramid of King Djoser (the founder of the 3rd
th Pharaonic dynasty, c. 2700 BCE). This pyramid represents the first attempt at pyramid construction. It is considered to be the first freestone construction in the world.

of the site of Dahshur: the rhomboidal pyramid and the "red" pyramid, both built by King Senefru (founder of the 4thth pharaonic dynasty and father of the famous pharaoh Khufu). The style of these two pyramids allows us to follow the architectural evolution of pyramidal design, illustrating the intermediate stage between the type of the step pyramid of Saqqara and the perfectly pyramidal type of those found on the plateau of Giza. You will have the opportunity to enter the "red" pyramid to admire the interior architecture of this fascinating structure.
Return to the hotel in the late afternoon

Giza Plateau: the flagship site of the Pharaonic civilization which contains the three famous pyramids "Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos" as well as the Sphinx, in limestone, enigmatic and gigantic with a human head and a lion's body, raised as the guardian of the necropolis. And the funerary temple of King Khafre built entirely of granite and limestone.

Egyptian Museum: It is located in the city center on the iconic Tahrir Square, in an imposing neoclassical construction, well suited to its exquisite collections. The Egyptian Museum in Cairo opened its doors to the public for the first time in 1902. It has since grown to become the world's largest museum of Egyptian art. With more than 150,000 objects, the museum houses an impressive collection of exhibits that trace the glorious reign of ancient Egypt
Khan El-Khallili souk. A labyrinth of small streets animated day and night that solicits the senses with a mixture of images, sounds, scents and colours. Khan El-Khallili is the oldest bazaar in the world. It has been occupied by traders since the 14thth century

You will continue with a visit to the sumptuous temple of Luxor, originally built during the reign of Amenophis III, then enlarged by Ramses II and several other pharaohs over the centuries. This temple perfectly illustrates the classical architecture of an Egyptian sanctuary, with its majestic dromos lined with sphinxes, leading to an imposing façade (the pylon), once framed by two monumental obelisks. One of them still stands proudly at the entrance, while its twin has adorned the Place de la Concorde in Paris since 1836.
